A.L.P.’s newest post-top lighting innovation allows our model 401 Lineman™ top and cap to be used with our industry-leading model 425 Lindy® bottom, so you can add to the variety of your traditional street and area lighting while cutting costs and keeping SKUs to a minimum.
The secret is in the design of Lineman’s injection molded top and cap. Using a snap-fit feature, it is attached in the field without tools. The top and bottom optics are shipped separately, dramatically reducing freight costs up to 70 percent versus pre-assembled post tops and eliminating the need—and cost—of attaching clamp bands.
This interchangeable option combines the look and performance of the Lindy with the value of the Lineman, adding variety to your product offering with the most economical, environmentally friendly approach. Other new options include new black acrylic tops for some Lineman and Lindy configurations.

A.L.P. Introduces the Lineman™ Utility Grade Post-Top Globe
(Niles, IL) A.L.P. is pleased to announce the introduction of the Lineman™, a new utility-grade post-top globe. Designed to illuminate walkways, parks, and roadways, the Lineman features a nostalgic, turn-of-the-century shape with modern material choices for an economical alternative to other performance globes.
It is versatile, attractive, and affordable. The Lineman features a configurable top so that the appearance can be customized for any application. In addition, multiple finished shapes can be created by adding cap or finial options.
This new utility-grade post-top is easy to install and maintain. The innovative locking design allows the top and bottom to be efficiently shipped and then permanently field assembled with no tools. Manufactured in acrylic for longevity without discoloration, the Lineman is compatible with LED lamp sources and poles with a height of 10’ to 20’.
The Lineman is the latest addition to the 400 Series injection molded post-tops from the A.L.P. LexaLite brand. It can be shipped economically in two or three pieces. In addition, it has the same maximum diameter (15.9”) as A.L.P.’s popular The Lindy® refractor, offering the potential for component sharing.
For OEM and retrofit applications, A.L.P.’s traditionally styled Lineman post-top globe is a less expensive alternative to other performance optics that does not compromise on the durability and versatility integral to the 400 Series.

A.L.P. announces dramatically reduced pricing for the Little Lindy® prismatic post top, effective April 30, 2020. A.L.P. has developed manufacturing and sourcing efficiencies that have significantly reduced our production costs, and we are passing along the savings to you.
We are also now offering a one-piece version for even better value. This new, streamlined design saves money on product price, installation, and maintenance. Without the requirement for clamp bands and screws, the one-piece Little Lindy is more cost-effective. There’s no field assembly needed, so installation is faster and cheaper. And the one-piece sealed design saves more in maintenance costs, too.
Measuring 19” high, 14” diameter with 8” neck fitter, the mid-size, pedestrian-scale post top is offered in UV stabilized Clear Acrylic , Lumieo® and UV stabilized Clear Polycarbonate.
